About NHS Open House - NHS England openhouse webcasts

About the NHS Open House

NHS England’s Open House Days are a fantastic opportunity for patients and the public to influence the work of NHS England at national and regional level.  At this month’s Open House you can hear about and influence the Patients and Information Directorate’s national programmes such as care.data and how NHS England delivers data, transparency and digital services to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients and citizens.

Through this website, people can find out about the Open House day before the event and, on the day itself (Tuesday 17th June 2014), we will be broadcasting the event live through this website.  There is also an opportunity to link to the event virtually either through the discussion forumor using #NHSOpenHouse on twitter.

The aim of the event and virtual engagement through this website is to literally open the doors of NHS England’s projects and programmes and to invite citizens in to see and hear what is being developed and to contribute their experiences, idea and expertise.

We ran NHS Open House earlier in the year in London.   This time we are trying something new and different with four regionally based events that are digitally connected by web casts and social media, driving a national conversation based on local experiences and issues.
